I had a pleasant stay at the Comfort Inn in Monterey. The rooms were great, spacious, and clean, but the noise from other guests checking in and out was a bit bothersome. The service was friendly and helpful, although the beds left me waking up in pain. The location was convenient for various activities in Monterey, although it could be overpriced on weekends. The dining experience was good with a nice spread, but some items were 'out of order'.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable with a nicely appointed queen bed, but the overall size of the room was surprisingly small. On the bright side, the bathroom was spacious, which was a plus.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms were large, clean, very comfortable, and nicely appointed, supposedly with a queen bed. However, the room size was really small.
Service
6.0
The service during check-in was a bit rude, and at check-out, they refused to print a receipt, claiming I could retrieve it from the booking. Despite this, they were accommodating and claimed to have only one key for our room, considering it a master key.
Location
8.0
The location was great, right next to the freeway, making it easy to get around Monterey/PG quickly. It was about 15 minutes from the main attractions, offering a good price for the convenient location. Additionally, it was pretty close to the beach.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, the dining experience was not a feature of the stay, but there were good food choices available, including udon.

The hotel's location is excellent, close to many activities in Monterey. The rooms were very loud due to thin walls, but they came equipped with essential amenities like a fridge, coffee maker, iron, and hair dryer. The service was lovely and accommodating, although the breakfast might not be the best option. The facilities were satisfactory, and the pricing was reasonable for the value offered.
Rooms
7.0
Despite the thin walls causing a lot of noise, the room had all the necessary amenities.
Service

5.8/10
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were in good shape and had a white noise machine, but the location was not ideal as it felt small for the number of guests. The service was helpful, but more like a security guard than traditional hospitality staff. The dining options were good, but the facilities were lacking in terms of extra amenities.
Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a room on the far side of the parking lot near the vending machines. While I appreciated the white noise machine and sign about the area, the room felt a bit isolated. Overall, the room was clean and provided what I needed during my stay.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and did their best to assist me, although they came across more as security guards than typical hospitality staff. They were helpful in recommending local restaurants, which I appreciated.
Location
5.0
The location was easy to access from the freeway, but I found it disappointing that it felt cramped for the number of guests. On the bright side, there were good restaurant options nearby, especially considering it was Christmas Eve.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience offered a nice selection of continental options, as well as hot food like sausage and egg. However, I was let down by the lack of seafront attractions and the limited breakfast choices.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic and functional, like a motel providing necessary services including breakfast. However, they fell short of exceeding expectations, with coffee and gas station pastries being subpar offerings.
